3 months of marriage

News:
1. I have now been working at the U of U at the pediatric research center. We study chronic lung disease of prematurity using the only animal model in the world. I am really enjoying it and have been able to use a lot of what I learned in my major: chemistry, microbiology, biology, anatomy, and physiology. Andrew has been a great husband and takes me and picks me up from the trax station everyday.

2. Andrew starts back in school at the Y this coming semester.

3.We moved!!!!!!!!!!! It's a nice little duplex in Sandy. We love it. Here a few pictures, we're still organizing and still have to put up more pictures on the walls, but here is a sneak preview for now.

We were very lucky to have furniture pieces donated to us from Andrew's family members.

Thanksgiving

Andrew and I started our Thanksgiving day off by running the Cottonwood Heights Thanksgiving 5k. We didn't really sign up for it because paying $50 to run a 5k wasn't in our budget. We had a lot of fun taking it easy and seeing a lot of people we know. Then I went to watch Andrew play in a turkey bowl with his friends. Finally, we got to eat with the Auger side of the family (Andrew's mom's side). It was fun eating and seeing everyone.

Our first thanksgiving together.

These girls were in love with Andrew. They kept asking us to kiss, in fact it got so out of control that they started screaming "KISSSS" It was pretty funny.

My darling niece, Jane

This barn was only 15 min away from my house in Great Falls.

The Proposal

I am going to officially start this blog by telling you a short version of how we got engaged. So, Andrew and I started to really like each other at a what you might call, inconvenient time. We started becoming pretty serious and then I had to go to the Dominican Republic for an internship for 6 weeks. Thanks to Skype, we unofficially got engaged.
I hadn't even been home a full day when one night our good family friends, the Fitzgeralds visited. We went to an Indonesian restaurant in honor of my best friend Kristen and then they decided they wanted to go sight seeing at 11 P.M. I was obviously still tired from traveling but gave in.
We were all at the Jefferson Memorial, while I was waiting to hear from Andrew to get out of seeing Harry Potter (he's never even read the books). He finally called at around midnight. We were talking and he was saying things like "I wish I was with you" and I was was all "ya..." So pretty much I wasn't giving him much bait and finally he said, "Well you look good in your jeans and white shirt" and I responded "shut up" and I turned and he was there! (excuse the tan lines)
He walked over to me and we hugged and then he got down on his knee and proposed. I guess I said, "I don't know what to say" which in my head meant "Yes of course, I'm just in shock this is happening because I haven't seen you in 6 weeks and wasn't planning on it for another 2 weeks."
"She said Yes!"
The ring was gorgeous and I loved it. We never went ring shopping or even talked about rings so he picked it all out on his own.
Love.
More Love.

World-wide trip

Andrew and I have been married for 4 weeks now. The beginning of our relationship is a little "less traditional" than most. As of today we will be visiting our 8th country in 4 weeks.
Andrew and I are traveling with his dad on a world-wide trip for about 36 days. Paul (Andrew's dad) has been planning this trip for many years now and I quickly and unexpectedly became part of the plans.
We will be putting up descriptions and experiences that are unique to each country.
